Cheryl Baxter
Cheryl Baxter, daughter of Betty Hayes-Baxter has been in the entertainment business for over 40 years working in theater, commercials, film and television. She started her career as an assistant choreographer to Gene Kelly and Kenny Ortega in Coppola's film, One From the Heart and went on to assist Meryl Streep in Death Becomes Her. She has worked on over 20 films including Xanadu, Tap, Grease 2, Pennies From Heaven, 500 Days of Summer, This Is It with Michael Jackson and The Muppet Movie.
She has danced beside such legends as Gregory Hines, Sammy Davis Jr. The Nicholas Brothers and Donald O'Connor. Television credits include Glee, General Hospital, The Academy and Golden Globe Awards, How I Met Your Mother, Physical, Mike and Molly, B Positive, Lucifer, Welcome to Chippendales, The Big Bang Theory, and Crazy Ex Girlfriend to name a few. Her favorite jobs in the past few years have been performing on the Grammys backing up the rapper, DaBaby, and dancing next to Miley Cyrus in the VMA Awards. Cheryl has performed in the Los Angeles and First National companies of Cats and 42nd Street and was in the Broadway telecast of Sophisticated Ladies. As a resident choreographer for the soap operas, General Hospital and Port Charles, she worked with actors for over fifteen years. She has directed and choreographed theater productions all over the world and has set shows for Universal Studios in Hollywood, Japan and Singapore, and has worked extensively for Disney and Sesame Street Live. She recently choreographed the arena tours for Hello Kitty, and Paw Patrol. A memorable experience was being on the casting team and working closely with Michael Jackson and Kenny Ortega on Michaels "This Is It" tour. Cheryl is also one of the producers of The World Choreography Awards honoring choreographers in all forms of media with past winners such as Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars. Cheryl's new passion is Tik Tok performing with her best friend Beth as Dababyboomers with over half a million followers and 65 million views. You can find them on all platforms including Instagram and You Tube. But her love of teaching is still strong and she is a professor at 3 colleges that include the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Amda College of the Performing Arts and UCLA.
